The College of Engineering routinely offers credit for appropriately high scores on Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate Higher Level (IB), and General Certificate of Education (A-level) examinations. For detailed information on the acceptable scores, please refer to the Advanced Placement Credit Table on the College of Engineering website. The website shows what scores are needed in order to be eligible to receive credit for different Cornell courses.

Additionally, students who have taken a course or courses offered by an accredited college or university prior to their official start term at Cornell may wish to transfer the credits and apply them toward course requirements at Cornell. During the summer months prior to arriving on campus, the Engineering Advising office will work directly with students who indicate that they have taken college-level courses at another institution. These students will be provided additional information after they have enrolled.

Please review the "Transfer Credit" section of the Engineering Registrar's website.
