In the interest of fairness and equity, interviews are not part of the CALS Admissions process.
First-year applicants may be contacted by a Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network (CAAAN) volunteer to schedule an informational contact meeting. CAAAN contact meetings are not interviews, but rather informal conversations which allow applicants to ask questions about Cornell and learn more about the Cornell experience. Applicants interested in a contact meeting may indicate their interest via a link within the applicant portal. CAAAN volunteers are not able to meet with every first-year applicant, but strive to meet with as many applicants as possible and will prioritize those who indicate interest through the portal. If you are not contacted by a local CAAAN volunteer, please rest assured that it is only due to volunteer availability and will not impact your chances of admission to Cornell.
