What should I know if I am considering transferring from another institution to the College of Arts and Sciences?

In order to be competitive in the application process, transfer students interested in the College of Arts & Sciences should take a broad and challenging liberal arts and sciences curriculum at their current college or university. This includes, but is not limited to: writing, foreign languages, natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

Some facts that are specific to transferring to the College of Arts & Sciences are:

 

  • We do not offer interviews.
  • If you wish to transfer as a junior, you must have fulfilled the pre-requisite coursework for your intended major. Information on major pre-requisites and requirements can be found in Cornell's Courses of Study.
  • You must complete a minimum of 60 credits at Cornell, including a minimum of four semesters of residence.
