Yes, the College of Human Ecology offers a distinctive education for those interested in medicine, public health, and community health with a focus on prevention and wellness. Our contemporary and interdisciplinary approach to health studies is broad in scope and addresses human needs from perspectives in nutrition and health, human development, economics and public policy, and design and technology. Foundational pre-health courses are the same- regardless of Cornell college/school.
Our students are successful in the medical school and health careers admission processes and confident in their preparation for lives as health professionals, because they are effective communicators who can incorporate multiple perspectives and critically consider the social and environmental factors that play a role in human health.
