What is the Cost of Attendance?
print icon

The cost of attendance is created to assess the reasonable expectation of expenses incurred by an average student while enrolled at Cornell. The cost of attendance minus your expected family contribution as assessed by Cornell’s Financial Aid Office equals the amount of institutional financial aid you are eligible to receive.

If the financial aid offered is greater than what is billed through the Bursar system, a refund will generate within the week before the start of classes. Please reference the Financial Aid website for a detailed breakdown of the 2021-2022 estimated costs:

Housing costs are estimated based on a standard, on-campus double room. Dining includes the Unlimited Meal Plan.
