Financial Aid for Dining

The cost of attendance includes an allowance for meals equivalent to the Bear Traditional/House Traditional meal plans, regardless of whether a student receiving aid purchases a campus meal plan. We do not revise aid and the family contribution will not change if a student doesn't purchase a campus meal plan. The major difference when dining off-campus is that the charge for dining does not appear on the bursar bill.

We encourage students to have good financial management skills when they decide to move off-campus or purchase food on their own. Budget skills are particularly important, and personal finance information for Cornell students can be found here. More information on off-campus living and financial aid can be found here.

Additional information can be found on the Off-Campus Living website.
