How does my financial aid change if I become a resident advisor?

The undergraduate cost of attendance includes an allowance for housing equivalent to the on-campus double room rate, regardless of where a student receiving aid is living. The RA/SA/Native Speaker positions and the Telluride House provide students with housing free-of-charge.

We will account for the free housing for any students receiving financial aid through an adjustment to the student's financial aid award. Whenever possible, we try to reduce the self-help (loan and work component) in a student's award. If the amount a student receives in "rent-free housing" (plus any other outside scholarship funding received) is greater than the amount of work and loan in the student's aid package, remaining funds will be used to reduce Cornell Grant.
